The Color of Shadow

Finally I've began painting the second pass. Starting at the terminator (form shadow) then working toward Trevor's ear and neck. The challenge is to keep the shadows in the right key without creating a dead zone. I've also began painting the background. Its just a green drape right? The color seems to change every time I look at it.
